Facts and Events
Name John Mann
Gender Male
Christening[1][2] 26 Aug 1798 Kersey, Suffolk, England
Death[1] 20 Aug 1825 Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England

Hanged for Highway Robbery. He died a humble penitent. The inscription on his headstone reads:
"I speak to you from the grave
Are you young and thoughtless?
Were you a companion in crimes with me?
Are you as yet undiscovered and unpunished
by the laws of your country?
Remember,
The eye of God is upon you at all times,
He reads even the secrets of your heart,
Idleness, poaching, Sabbath breaking,
Drunkenness, debauchery, thieving
Leads to the gallows here
And to eternal misery hereafter.
Ask yourself where we met last,
We meet again at the judgement bar of God"
