John2 Lunt (Henry1) was born about the last of November, 1643, in Newbury. He married Mary Skerry of Salem on November 19,1668. He died on September 19,1678, probably of smallpox of which disease his daughter died eleven days later. His widow, Mary Lunt, married on May 13.,1680, Thomas Nelson of Rowley as his second wife [the family genealogy wrongly attributes this marriage to Mary2 Lunt (Henry1)]. Mary Nelson died in Rowley on August 28, 1688. Nelson, who married a third time, died in Rowley on April 5, 1712, aged 77, by his gravestone record. John Lunt took the Freeman's Oath in Newbury on January 9, 1673/4. His widow Mary was appointed to administer his estate on April 1,1679.
