    LUMADUE – John “Jack,” 86, Upper Marlboro, Md., formerly of Gallitzin, died Feb. 21, 2011, at Southern Maryland Hospital. Born Jan. 9, 1925, in Ashville, son of the late Edward and Clementine (Benden) Lumadue. Preceded in death by brother, Raymond, killed on D-day during World War II. Survived by his wife, the former Mary Kristock, whom he married June 6, 1950, at St. Mary Church, Gallitzin; sisters, Jane Carlin, Altoona, and Louise Benewiat, Bedford, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Army veteran of World War II. Member of American Legion Post 0115 in Maryland. Worked for NASA as an electrical technician, retiring in 1981. Member of St. Mary Assumption Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Demetrius Chapel, Gallitzin, the Rev. Albert Ledoux, celebrant. Committal, St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where a vigil service will be held. Military rites by local military organizations. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association in Jack’s memory.
