Hold Kramer For Lindsay's Death Gilman City, Mo – March 20, 1930 Responsibility for the death late yesterday of John T. Lindsay, 70, veterinary surgeon and former mayor of five years, was placed today on George Kramer, 72, by a jury at a coroner's inquest. Kramer met Lindsay in front of the post office here yesterday afternoon and according to witnesses without any exchange of words, shot him. Lindsay was wounded four times. Three bullets lodged in his body and one in his head. He died instantly. Witnesses at the inquest testified that after the shooting, Kramer remarked, "Well I got him." A feud had existed between the men for the past five years. Kramer is in jail awaiting arraignment on a murder charge. [George Kramer used a .38 revolver.] References
