The ages quoted in square brackets in the modern transcript do not appear on the original register, so are presumably taken from the Bishop's Transcript. The age quoted at marriage suggests John was born in 1735 or 1736, whereas the age at burial suggests he was born in 1731 or 1732. It is considered the age at marriage will be the more reliable estimate.
