Facts and Events
Although John and Stine were Lutherans, they gave or possibly sold this land to the Choice Methodist Church for use as a cemetery. The Choice Methodist Cemetery officially belonged to the Choice Methodist Church of the Norwegian-Danish Conference of the Methodist Church but the Cemetery is more of a community cemetery than a Methodist cemetery. The Choice Methodist Church, built in 1874 was known in the early days as the Methodist Church at South Fork because there was no Choice at that time. The Cemetery was likely started at this locations as a private cemetery for John Ludvig and Stine Marie Larson who lived across the road from the cemetery.[Larson.FTW] References
