Quality: 4 Dr. John Kozura, 81, of Minersville, died Tuesday afternoon at his home.
Born in Minersville, he was a son of the late Andrew and Sophie Onushko Kozura.
He was a retired dentist and had a practice in Pottsville for many years. He was a graduate of Minersville High School, Lebanon Valley College and Temple Dental School, in 1955.
He was a member of the American Dental Association.
John was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a life member of the Independent Hose Company, Minersville, the Pottsville Lions Club, the Independent Hunting Camp, Minersville American Legion Post 544, the Elks, Yorkville Hose and the National Rifle Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Elizabeth "Bette" Paduch, in 1996; and a sister, Sonya Eramo.
He is survived by two sons, John A. and his wife, Theresa, Schuylkill Haven, and Thomas and his wife, Linda, Comstock Park, Mich.; three daughters, Darlene Fox and her husband, Richard N. Fox Jr., Pottsville, Jane Fennelly and her husband, David Fennelly, Pine Grove, and Karin Del Corvo, Coral Springs, Fla.; five grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer Kalochie, John P. Kozura, Christopher M. Kozura, Jasmin Kozura and Alex Del Corvo; a sister, June Ruscavage, New Jersey; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. There will be no calling hours. The funeral procession to the national cemetery will form at 10 a.m. Monday from Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville. The family would prefer remembrances of John by a contribution to the donor's charity of choice. _TAG3: YES
