John Kleckner of Hartley Township, Union County, PA wrote his will 6 Apr 1829 and it was probated 21 Apr 1829. He mentioned wife Sarah, sons William (eldest), George, Isaac and Abraham and sons-in-law George Spangler, James McColley, John Cuplin, Joseph Swarm and John Filos (Fries?).

John Kleckner of West Buffalo Township (think Mifflinburg) wrote his will 1 May 1835 and it was probated 12 Oct 1839. He mentioned wife Barbara, son John, daughter Christina w/o Matthias Snook, son-in-law John Heckman who was intermarried with daughter Elizabeth, grandchildren Sarah, John, Elizabeth, Catherine, George, Mary, Peter, Daniel and Rebecca Heckman, daughter Barbara wife of Peter Pontius, daughter Margaret w/o Jonas Hartman, son Joseph’s children, son Anthony, son George, son Elias and son David.

Most of the "Events and Facts" on this page are about John Kleckner of Mifflinburg who died in 1839. He was born in Germany in 1750 and came to Union County from Northampton County, PA in about 1792 or 1793.

But since the main point of having John here, it would appear, is to profile William's father, I think all these facts should be discarded and replaced with the correct facts that apply to John Kleckner of Hartley Township who died there in 1829. He was born, I believe, about 1753 in New Jersey and came to Union County from there.
