    John Kent, s/o John, b. abt. 1668, m. 22 Dec 1692 Sarah Smith, moved to Scituate in 1698, Marshfield in 1709. Will of "John Kent of Marshfield", dated 1 May 1750, inventory dated 31 May 1753, proved 3 Jun 1753, mentions grand-daughters "Sarah Thacher the Daughter of my son John, Deceased" and her "Eldest child Elizabeth", "Desire Kent"; nine children: Ebenezer ["E[l]dest son"], Sam'l, Ezekiel, Elisha, Joseph, Hannah, Sarah, Mercy, and Abigal; "seven Grand children the children of my son Benj'a dec'd". "Ebenezer Ezek'l and Elisha" executors.

  2. ↑ The marriage to Sarah Little in 1692 suggests a birth bef. 1671. Given the marriage of the parents in 1662, and the births of Hannah in mid-1667, and Mary in early 1670, and Joshua in 1672, it seems most likely that John was born between the marriage in 1662 and the birth of Hannah in 1667.
