    Funeral services were held this Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the Mayfield church, Rev. R. H. Byler, officiating, over the remains of Guy S. Maitland. Interment was in the Mayfield Cemetery.

    Suy S. Maitland died suddenly in Chicago on Wednesday, April 17, from paralysis from which ailment he had suffered for several years.

    The son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Maitland, Guy Maitland was born in Sycamore in November, 1884, and while yet a child his family moved to Iowa. In 1916 he was married in Chicago and had since that time resided there.

    Besides his wife he is survived by three children, Guy, Jr., John Floyd and Luella, and by his father, Robert Maitland of Belmont, Ia., a brother, J. R. Maitland of Milwaukee and a sister Mrs. John Hyde of Garner, Ia.
