    John, eldest child of Joseph and Dorothy (Worthen) Hoyt, was born July 2, 1703, and died intestate, in South Hampton, as early as 1754. John and wife Mary, were dismissed from the First Church in Amesbury (East Parish) to the South Hampton Church, March 18, 1744.
