    Mary married second at Warwick 12 October 1680 the Rev. John Holmes of Newport, born 1649 probably at Newport; died there 1 October 1712, son of Rev. Obadiah and Catherine (Hyde) Holmes. Obadiah immigrated from Manchester, Lancashire, England in 1638/39, and served as Minister of the Baptist Church, Newport, for thirty years.
