48. JOHN HANBURY: (12 Robert) Very little is known about him except that he lived in the end of the fourteenth century and early fifteenth century, and that he married and had a son, Edward. 12. ROBERT de HANBURY: (9 Geoffrey) Nothing is known about him except that he was contemporary with Henry de Hanbury and may have been a brother. Available evidence strongly indicates that his son, John, became the progenitor of the Hanburys of Beanhall. John: There appears to be little doubt that the Hanburys of Hanbury descended from #13 Henry, while the Hanburys of Beanhall descended from John, son of #12 Robert. William Hanbury of Boston is a descendant of the Hanburys of Hanbury through the Houses of Elmley Lovett and Wolverhampton. John Hanbury of Virginia is descended from the House of the Hanburys of Beanhall.
