    Goodwin--Tuesday morning at home, nine miles on Elm Hill road John Lafayette Goodwin, in the 84th year of his age. Survived by wife Mrs. Mariah Goodwin. children, Richard, John, Felix, Charlie, Luther and Dave Goodwin, and Mrs. Walter Felts; sisters, Mrs. Carrie Mellons, Mrs. Mandy Ham, Mrs. Dora Blunkhail, Mrs. Elicia Montgomery, Mrs. Sack Hunt and Mrs. Mary Wolf. Remains are at the home of his son, Felix Goodwin, No. 56 Washington street. Funeral services at the Seventh Paptist church this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E.W. Barnett. The following will serve as pallbearers. Honarary - Hon. George J. Tompkins, Chief Frank Moore, Homer Ferguson, Capt J.K. Dews, George Lowery, N.D. Alley, Jim Smiley, Henry Waggoner, O.L. Wagoner, W.R. McInturff, Walter Lane and Jack Whitesell. Active Walter, Johnny and Lesley Felts, Charlie, Sammy and Johnnie Goodwin, his grandsons. Interment at Mt. Olivet cemetery. Roesch-Johnson-Charlton company, funeral directors.
