[Anc Elizabeth Mason margaretharke24.ged] Frederick County Deed Boo 83, pp. 365-366, dated 4 Oct 1857. John and S usannah sold 100 acres of land to their daughter and son-in-law, Washin gton Kerns. Located near Cross Junction, this land was Susannah's share o f her father's estate, designated as Lot #5 of a survey. During the1840s and 1850s, a mass migration occurred from Frederick Cou nty to Seneca County, Ohio. A news item stated that John Everett moved h is family to Fayette County, OH in 1852. Another account stated he move d in 1854. However, he was listed on an 1857 deed as being a resident o f Frederick County. John and Susannah were not enumerated on the Freder ick County cenesus for 1860 and 1870. An 1871 deed shows that John and S usannah sold their 120 acre farm in Frederick County to Wellington N. B ageant and that the Everetts were already living in Seneca County, Oh a t that time. Married on the same day and by the same minister as Jacob Null and Susa nnah Puffinberger. References
