Note: The Duston-Dustin Genealogy^[3] shows an additional wife and three children for this John Dustin. The children are definitely erroneously ascribed, as they are clearly shown in the Plaistow birth records as being children of John Duston and Masse Morss (Marcy or Mercy Morse). The parents in those records clearly refer to John Dustin (b. 1714, son of Nathaniel Dustin of Haverhill) and Marcy Morse of Boxford. Those children are in fact correctly attributed on p. 37 of the Duston-Dustin Genealogy. The mistake likely happened due to the children each having an additional, baptismal, record in the church records of Haverhill. Those records give only the father's name (John), which was mistakenly assumed to be Timothy's John. (The Genealogy also mistakenly reports the dates as birth, rather than baptismal, dates.) Where the idea of the wife, Mary Webster, came from is unclear since no records are known; that wife is likely also a mistake.
