My GGGGG Grandfather, John Duncanson (b 1720) had a brother William Duncanson, b Clackmannan, Scotland, in 1726. At the age of 15, William was convicted of stealing 164 guineas belonging to John Campbell, Earl of Breadalbane, but had his death sentence commuted to indentured servitude in the Virginia Plantations. His transportation was arranged by the Edinburgh merchant Thomas Gardner and carried out in 1742. He possibly travelled, or was transported with, his sister Christian Duncanson. I understand their names appear on documents from Prince William County, Virginia at the Huntington Library, San Marino, California. Any information gratefully accepted.
