At least one family tree attributes the children of Samuel Dickason to John Dickason. The evidence that they were Samuel's children is not obvious from online sources. However, the 1810 census record for Samuel matches a son born in 1792 (James) better than the 1810 census record for John does. That does not mean that all the children attributed to Samuel were his, but there may be offline sources that have confirmed that.

It is possible that John and Samuel were related, but this appears to be speculation.
