    John S. Dennett, one of the old and respected citizens of Janesville, died early Sunday morning at his home 1121 Mineral point avenue. He was the son of Jeremiah Dennett and Mary Johnston and was born on a farm in the town of Milton. Mr. Dennett was joined in marriage in 1878 to Miss Ella Conklin, Hornell, N. Y. They resided on a farm in the town of Janesville, coming to this city several years ago.
    Besides his wife, Mr. Dennett is survived by four children: J. P. Dennett, Mt. Vernon, Washington, D. C.; Mrs. H. A. Schnittker, St. Louis, Mo.; E. Bert Dennett, this city, and Vern C. Dennett, Mt. Vernon, Washington, D. C.; Mrs. G. F. Bingham, formerly Maude E. Dennett, and Murell Dennett preceded him in death.
    Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday[?] from the home, with the Rev. R. G. Pierson, First Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
