John 5 Coo died in the latter part of the year 1520. His will dated Sept. 3, 1520, probated Feb. 14, 1520-21, directs that his body be buried in Gestingthorpe Church, and over it to be laid a marble grave-stone with an inscribed brass tablet set in same.
JOHN COO (Thomas* (4), John 3 , John"-, John 1 ), born about 1460, was a prosperous farmer on an extensive scale, holding estates in Gestingthorpe, Belchamp-Walter, Great Maplestead, Halstead, Hempstead, Great Sampford, and Finchingfield, all in co. Essex.
