(Revolutionary Patriots of Frederick County, Maryland, 1775-1783 by Henry Peden) (No confirmation as relative) 1782: George Castle will listed in Western Maryland Genealogy, Vol. 6, Number 1, Jan. 1990, page 27: George Castle of Upper Kittochtin Hundred, Frederick County, farmer. Will dated 16 Jan (blank), weak. To wife Margaret: her thirds while a widow; if she marries, my estate to be sold and money to children equally. To dau. Mary: cow, heifer, mare. Son James to be educated until fit to be bound to a trade, and dau. Margaret until she can read or write. If any casualty should prevent John Connelly from teaching his school, children to be educated out of my estate. Friend John Connelly (or if he dies, son Thomas) and son John (or if he dies, son George) executors. /s/ George Castle. Wit: Mary Connelly, Thomas Castle, John Connelly, George Castle.
