-- Rev. Guy B. Christopher, age 79, of Glenloch Rd. Roopville, Ga., passed away Monday, December 11, 2006. He was born December 23, 1926 in Hall County, Georgia, to the late Mary Guyton Christopher and John Harland Christopher. Mr. Christopher served in The United States Army during WWII and was the retired owner & operator of Christopher Flooring. He was a retired minister having served the Lord for over 50 years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Christopher, & J.B. Christopher; his sisters, Minnie Sorrells, Winnie Milton, Gertrude Chandler and Willie Mae Kelley. Survivors include his wife Emmie Hannah Christopher; his daughters and spouses, Lavonne & Tom Yates of Roopville, Ga., Rebecca & Jerry Wilson of Armada, MI., Cindy & Jerry Norton of Monroe, Ga., and Andrea Welch of Minneapolis, MN.; a son and spouse, Gregory & Louise Christopher, Sr., of Loganville, Ga.; a sister, Dorothy King of Calhoun, Ga.; a sister in-law, Frances Christopher of Loganville, Ga.; also nine grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 3 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Wayne Webb and Rev. Buck Whitley officiating. Pall bearers will be Justin Norton, David Welsh, Greg Christopher, Jr., Wesley Morris, John Taylor and Matt Milam. Interment will follow in Goshen Church Cemetery with The American Legion Post #143 making the flag presentation.
