CHRISTENSEN John M.

John M. Christensen, age 82, of Maumee, died Sunday, August 7, 2005, at The Toledo Hospital. Mr. Christensen was born in Ponsford, MN to Earl and Rose (Lent) Christensen. John was employed as an insurance adjuster and in later years as a sales representative. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. A graduate of The University of Minnesota, he was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and Methodist Men. John enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carlene Christensen; daughter, Dawn (Bill) Ocheske; son, Steven (Nanette) Christensen; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, David Christensen; sister-in-law, Lois Christensen and 7 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Wesley Christensen. Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Wednesday, August 10, 2005, from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Methodist Church.

John's family would like to thank their many friends for their prayers and support, and a special thank you to the caring doctors and nurses at The Toledo Hospital.
