    John Chamberlain (1742-1793/1794), of Blount Co., TN, was the second son of Ninian & Janet Chamberlain, of Jefferson Co. He fought for SC & NC in the Revolution, and for the latter received a bounty land grant in Greene Co. in 1786 (Another in E. TN was apparently received by his widow in 1795.) In c1782, John m. Hannah Lackey (bef. 1770-1811), in Greene Co. She was the daughter of Jas. Lackey & Mary Woods. Jno & Hannah had 6 children.
