    ... The eldest son of the former, John CARSON Jr. born July 10, 1777, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1791, was commissioned master in the US. Navy, November 20, 1798, and Lieutenant June 13, 1799. He married June 16, 1801, Ann BAKER, and had issue, concerning whom, however, the present writer has no knowledge, as they removed to the southwestern states early in the nineteenth century, John CARSON Jr. died January 29, 1816. ...
