Note: And as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleasedGod to bless me with in this life I give devise & bequeath asfolloweth - Imp. Note: I will that all my just and lawfull Debts be honestly paid by myExecutor. Note: Then I will that my funeral charges be honestly paid by myExecutor. Note: Then I will that Hanah Butcher my Dear & Loveing wife be my SoleExecutor of this my Last Will and Testament and I do appoint SamuelJones & Henry Stirke(?) of the s'd County Yeoman Men my Trustees forto Assist my s'd wife in her Executorship that is to Set out my Plantation till My Son John Comes to Twenty one years ofage to Set it out as followeth. (viz; I will that those that take it not make any waste of Timber uponmy Land, not to clear above eight acres of my said Land withoutffencs. and that Land that is within ffencs they may clear all theLand between the ffield called the 13 acre field & the old ffield and no more Note: (And the who takes the s'd place be - otherwyes must Summerffallow the Land Note: Always before they Sow it So it will but be sowed every other year andI will that They that takes it to have with it four Cowes four workingHorses & mares with plows & Cart and their tackling and they to bevalued by Honest men and They to deliver as good as they are at entring at the capitation that is when my Son Johncomes to the age afores'd then the s'd Plantation that I live on andthose things above said to be delivered to the said John Butcher My Son To him & his Heirs and Assigns for ever. Note: And my said Executor Hanah Butcher to have the use of the said plaesfor to bring up my children upon so long as She keeps herself unmarried. Note: But when she marrys again for she to turn off with one third ofmy personal Estate. Note: And for the two thirds of my Estate for my said Trustees to takecare of it all for the use of my Children to the best advantage ofthem. Note: Then I will and Bequeath unto my eldest Son John Butcher two hundredand thirty Seven acres of Land with my dwelling house & plantation &all other the Improvements upon the Same and all other things beforemenconed, that is to be set out with the s'd plantation unto him & his Heirs and Assigns for ever And to enter toit And the things Delivered or as good as they are when he comes tothe said 21 years of age. Note: And I give to my son John one Mare her Colour is Sorrel threeyears old with a halfpenny in each Ear in the back part of them awhite Blaze down the face. Note: I give her to him now And he to have the use of her & thekeeping upon the plantation the said place is where I now live on. Note: Then I will and bequeath unto my Son Samuel Butcher three hundred andfifty acres of Land now upon the said Mannor with all the Improvementsand appurtenances upon the same at Buntington, to him & his Heirs andAssigns for ever & to enter to the Same when he comes to twenty one years of age. Note: Then I will and bequeath unto Mary Butcher my eldest Daughter twohundred acres of Land at Egg Harbour, but the said 200 acres must be Sold by my Executor &Trustees with all Speed and the money for it is to be put intoInterest for the use of my said Daughter and to be paid to her whenshe Attains to eighteen years of age or when she is married. Note: Then I will and bequeath unto Sarah Butcher my Daughter fourtypounds in Currant Silver mony of Pensilvania to her & her heirs andAssigns for ever to be paid to her when she Attains to Eighteen Yearsof age or married. Note: Then I will that my Negro man be sold And the mony to be put out toInterest for the use of my children that is for the use of my DaughterSarah but if the s'd mony amount to more nor Mary hath from the Landthe over plus to be equally divided to them both. Note: Then I will that neither my Executor nor Trustees nor any other personcharge any thing for the bringing up of my Children but that theirEstates I have given them may be clear to them for ever. Also I willand bequeath unto Alexander Quee & Mary Parker that are in Election to be married when they are married I giveto them one Mare called Tib. Note: I do revoak all former Wills to be void and of none Effect andmake this my last. Note: In Witness hereof I have Set to my hand and Seal the twentyfifth day of June and the Sixth year of the reign of our SovereignLady Queen Anne over England Ye Annoq Dom 1707. Then personally appeared Robert Mecgee andAlexander Quee, Two of the Witnesses to the within written will & ontheir Solemn Oaths did declare they Saw the within named John Butcherthe Testator Sign Seal publish & Declare the within writing to be his last Will & Testament. And that at the doingthereof he was of sound mind memory & understanding to the best of their knowledge. Note: Coram Pet(?) Evans D. Reg'r. Note: Be it Remembered that ye 10th day of July 1707 The Last Will &Testament of John Butcher was proven in due form of Law, probat &Letters of Administration was granted to Hannah Butcher, SoloExecutrix in the said Will named being first Attested well & truely to Administer & to bring an Inventory of the Dece'ds Estateinto the Reg'rs Offies at Philad'a on or before the 10th Aug next &also to render Acc't when required Given under the Seal of the saidOffies - Pet Evans D.
