  7.   Whilst no baptism record has been found for John, it is possible to link him to his parents William Bryant and Ann Randall on the basis of the 1851 census, in which John's daughter Mary appears living with Ann and described as her granddaughter. There is also a notable gap in the baptisms of William and Ann's children between 1800 and 1805, making a 'missing' child from the baptism record somewhere around 1802 entirely plausible.
