Friday, 2 Jan 1953, section 1, page 2JOHN J. BREYERJohn J. Breyer, husband of Fannie A. (Schaeffer) Breyer, died Christmas Day at his late residence, Green Lane, R. D., near Sumneytown, at the age of 66 years, 3 months, and 8 days. He was born in Marlborough township, a son of the late Jacob and Rose (Weinberger) Breyer, and was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, Sumneytown. surviving is the widow; two sons, Forrest Breyer, Green Lane, R. D., and Perry Breyer, at home; two daughters, Stella, wife of Arthur Simon, Green Lane, R. D., and Mary, wife of Russell Gerhart, Pennsburg; on brother, Thomas Breyer, Green Lane, R. D., and six grandchildren. Short services were held from the Hoffman Funeral Home, East Greenville, on Sunday afternoon, with further services in St. John's Lutheran church, Sumneytown, and interment in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. E. L. Angstadt officiated. Funeral Director Owen S. Hoffman had charge in arrangements.
