Administration on estate of John Bray granted 11 Jan 1693-4 to Wm. Pepperrell, Joan Deering and Mary Bray.
[Stackpole assumes this is John Bray the father, but it probably refers to the son. First, the father named both his wife and son, co-executors, and both would have had to die to necessitate new administrators for the father. Second, a deed dated 8 Dec 1701, by "William Pepperrell Esq'r and Margery his wife Gen'tm and Joseph Dearing and Mary his wife And Joan Dearing Relict of Clement Dearing late of Kittery Deceased And administrators to ye Estate of Mr John Bray late of Kittery Deceased" sells land at Spruce Creek (see Source:York, Maine, United States. York Deeds, Volume 7, Fol. 18). In the father's will, he leaves his land at Spruce Creek to his son John (see Source:Sargent, William M. Maine Wills, 1640-1760 (101287), p. 88).]
