This part of the family is related to Christopher Columbus. Boalsburg, PAwas named for this family. They have the Boal mansion and Columbus Chapelacross from the military museum. When the origional Boal family were sentthe equipment from the Columbus family chapel in Spain, as well as hisdesk & explorer's cross that Admiral Christopher Columbus used, theycreated their own Columbus Chapel on the grounds of their platial home.Both the chapel & mansion are open to the public today.
