John Bigg was a butcher who in 1815 lived in that part of the village of Markyate which fell within the parish of Caddington, Hertfordshire, England. At that time he was held to be the father of an Elizabeth Moss, daughter of Martha Moss (formerly Winters), whose husband Thomas Moss was absent in the East Indies. John Bigg has yet to be found in any other records.
