Abel Batson was in Monogahela County, West Virginia in the 1830, 1840 US Census at age 60-69 in 1830 and 70-79 in 1840. This would put his birth date as between 1761-1770.

There are Batson Bible records in Greene Hills Echo, Waynesburg, PA: 1981. Vol. 10, Iss. 1 for Abel's son John W Batson with John W's first wife Clarissa Barnhouse (who was Clarissa (Baker) Barnouse) and second wife Elizabeth (Stewart) Hartley, their children with birth dates, baptisms, death dates. To my knowledge the Green Hills country included Green County, Pennsylvania and Monongahela County, West Virginia region.

A genealogy of Abel's children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren is in appendix IV of the book Dulany-Furlong AND Kindred Families.
