·John Bandy (191, 16-371) (1752-1818) served in Capt. Neeley’s Company during the Revolution. Probably another John Bandy served in the 8th Maryland Regiment. John married Lucy Christian (191, 16-372). John is listed in the Virginia census of 1810. Lucy is listed in the 1820 Virginia census. They are attributed eight children:
·· John Ottie Bandy (402, 16-372) (1793 - after 1870) married Barbara Wiley (402, 17-618)(1800 - after 1870 ) on September 10, 1823 in Botetourt County, Virginia, and they had six children. They are listed in the 1830, 1840, 1850 , 1860, and 1870 Virginia censuses.
·· Mary (Polly) Bandy (352, 17-617) (about 1793 - ? ) married Jonathan James (191, 17-517) on April 2, 1810 in Botetourt County, Virginia.
·· Patsy Martha Bandy (404, 17-621) (about 1785 - ? ) married William Campbell (404, 17-622) on May 14, 1806 in Botetourt County, Virginia.
·· RichardBandy (406, 17-727) (February 25, 1780 - April 4, 1862) died Roanoke County, Virginia. Married Margaret “Peggy” Wright (406, 17-1168) (1789 - ? ) on January 13, 1823 in Franklin County, Virginia, and they had four children. Listed in the 1820, 1830, 1840, 1850, and 1860 Virginia censuses.
·· Jane Bandy (403, 17-619) (1781 - ? ) (1781 - ? ) married Hezekiah Brown (403, 17-620) (1785 - about 1845 ) on May 14, 1807 in Botetourt County, Virginia, and they had three children.
·· Thomas C. Bandy (407, 17-627) (1783 - 1864) is listed in Bandy Gallimaufry as John’s son. Thomas apparently married Nancy Peery (407, 17-519) (1785 - ? ) on April 7, 1806 in Botetourt County, Virginia. He moved to Tazewell County and married Sallie Schrader Wooldridge (408, 17-630) (1805 - ? ) on July 16, 1842 in Tazewell County. Because Tazewell County records suggest this Thomas may be Avy’s grandson, Thomas and his descendants are listed under Avy in Chapter 2.
·· Andrew Bandy (405, 17-623) (1784 - 1867) married Rebecca Wooldridge (405, 17-624) in 1815, and they moved to Lawrence County, Ohio in 1828. Listed in the Virginia census for 1820 and the Ohio censuses for 1840, 1850, and 1860. They had 11 children.
·· George Bandy (635, 17-1169) (1796 - April 1880) was born in Virginia and lived in Gallia County, Ohio for 50 years. Married Celia Sanders (635, 17-1170) (1806 - ?), and they had 14 children. She may have been his second wife. Listed in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 Ohio censuses.
