p 43 - 6 MARGARET HESS, daughter of Conrad Hess, was born October 21, 1783, died March 25, 1868. She was married to John Amey, farmer, born near Bursottville, in Springfield Township, Bucks county, Pa., November 7, 1779, died June 29, 1849; both buried in Springfield Church burying ground. John, who was a brother of George Amey, occupied the old Amey homestead, known as "Fairview Farm," near Bursonville, Pa., where he was quite successful, so much so that he became the possessor of two other valuable tracts in that vicinity. They raised a family of nine children: Isaac, Levi, Susanna, Rebecca, Elizabeth, John, Hanah, J. George and Joseph.
