The town of MEISSENHEIM, shown above is probably a misspelled name referring to the town of MEISENHEIM, located along the Glan River, in the uplands of the area of Rhineland-Palatinate, now in Germany.

Meisenheim is at the western edge of the area from which most of the Palatines in "White Creek's" postings, had migrated. It would seem that most (if not all) of the HUSERS had migrated from Meisenheim, directly to Iowa. No evidence that they stopped over in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, as did most of the Palatines listed by "White Creek".
