1. Came to America in 1764. On the trip, John Francis Jacoby married "Freerina Lorsping". (This is probably a rendering of Frederica Lotspiech.) This marriage date accords with a 1765 birth for Catherine Elizabeth. John had gone to Germany to settle an estate belonging to the family.
