Possibly the "Charles Zent" that was listed as serving in Captain Daniel De Turck's Company of Berks County, Pennsylvania Associators, in July, 1776. Charles Zent listed as private. Johann Carl Zent may have had children that migrated to Perry County, Ohio. Listed in the 1850 census in Perry County, are the following:

This family does not seem to descend from Johann Jacob Zent (1735-1809), Johann Carl Zent's brother, who was the progenitor of most of the Zent family in Pennsylvania, and later Ohio and Indiana.
