Johann C. Aufderheide
After only a short stay in bed Johann C. Aufderheide, who was not yet 51 years old, was snatched from the circle of his family on 5 July.
The immortal was born in 1847 in Dinklage in Oldenburg. As a 20-year-old youth, he wandered to the Ver. States and came immediately to Dayton. On June 11 he married Miss Maria Owel, who survived him with seven children, Bernhard, Wilhelm, Marie, Julie, Heinrich, Hermann and Joseph. The elderly mother of the divorced woman, Margerethe Aufderheide, also had to experience the pain of seeing him sink into the grave. Mr. Aufderheide was a member of St. Martin Commandery No. 225 St. John's Knights, St. John's Assistance Society and St. Boniface's Branch of Catholic. Knights of Ohio.
