Facts and Events
Name[1][2] Johan Jurg Meisser
Gender Male
Marriage to Unknown

JOHAN JURG MEISSER sailed for New York from Holland via England on 28 July 1709, with a wife and 4 children. He was a native of the German Palatinate; later sometimes called the Bavarian Palatinate.

This was a very early migration - before the mass migration of Palatines who went to Pennsylvania.

In this work, we are mostly concerned with the members of the family (Mizer, Miser, etc.) who migrated on to Tuscarawas County, Ohio. In Johan Jurg Meisser's Family Tree, were families with the KUHNS surname. They were related to the Pershings, another prominent Tuscarawas County family. Some of the Pershings migrated on to Wabash County, Indiana.
