    Job S. Olin was born on the __ of May, 1849, in Richland County, Ohio, the third son of Nathaniel G. and Phebe R. [Roberts] Olin. He married Ruth A. Dean, 25 March 1880, in Mansfield. They had 3 children: Helen J. Olin 1881, Mary E. Olin 1883, Stephen D. Olin 1886, Ruth died in November of 1886. Job S. re-married on the 15th of May, 1889 to Annett McElroy and had three more children; Louisa A. Olin 1890, Fanny E. Olin 1894, and Sarah M. Olin 1897. Job's father, Nathaniel Green Olin, was born on the 15th of May, 1805, in Shaftsbury, Bennington County, Vermont, the son of Gideon and Lydia Myres [Pope] Olin, and he died on the 15th of September, 1881, in Richland County, Ohio. Nathaniel came to Ohio in early 1838 with wife, Phebe and two daughters. Job's mother, Phebe Roberta Roberts, was born on the 25th of June, 1815, in Wallingford, Rutland County, Vermont, and is buried with her husband and family in the Bellville Cemetery. Nathaniel and Phebe had ten or more children; Mary Ann Olin 1836-1902, married David W. Zent 1827-1908; Gideon A. Olin 1838-1914, married Martha Ann Bowland 1846-1899; Benjamin Franklin Olin 1845-1912, married Martha Ann Bailey 1851-1924; E. Jane Olin 1847-1902, married Harmon Farber 1840-1912; Job S. Olin 1849-1939, married Ruth Alena Dean 1850-1886; John Myers Olin 1851-1924, married Helen Remington 1854-1922; Oliver G. Olin 1853-1872, died young of Typhoid Fever; and Ellen F. "Ella" Olin 1856-1890, married Eudora B. Batterson 1869-1909. Job Olin's grandfather, Gideon Olin, was born in 1743, and died in 1823. Gideon was a US Congressman, elected to represent Vermont in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1803 to 1807. He also served as a State Court Judge. Patience Dwinnell, first wife of Gideon Olin, died January 30, 1801, aged 58 years. Job's grandmother, Lydia Myres Pope, was born on the 13th of February, 1775, in Pownal, Bennington County, Vermont, and died on the 11th of June, 1866, in Richland County, Ohio. Lydia Pope, second wife of Gideon Olin, was the mother of four children; Benjamin Olin, Esther Olin, Nathaniel G. Olin 1805-1881, and Abram B. Olin 1808-1879.
