The following is copied from chapter 20 (Miller Township), page 209 of History of Dearborn County: Influential Men of Early Days
Job Judd, a soldier of the Revolution, came to the county in 1817, from the state of New York. He was the father of Orrin Judd.
...On Feb. 11, 1880, soon after purchasing his farm, he was married to Miss Anna Judd, a daughter of Orin and Mary J. (Cook) Judd, both natives of Dearborn county, where Mrs. Nowlin's grandfather, Job Judd, was one of the pioneers.
Job Judd was included in an informal roster of Home Defenders of the Dearborn County frontier or other areas during the War of 1812. Since he came to the county in 1817, he was one of the ones defending "other areas."
