Children of William Sprague and Silence Tower, "three eldest children were born at Hingham, the others at Providence, Rhode Island": Silence b. 4 Sep 1708; William b. 29 Jan 1710; Jedediah b. 18 Mar 1712/13; Elisha; Joshua "about 1720"; Joanna; Lydia.

  4. Based her marriage in 1740 and the sibling births that were recorded, Joanna could easily been born anytime from 1715 to, say, 1723. Based on her husband being older (30 at time of marriage), older rather than younger seems more likely, and Cutter saying Joshua was born about 1720, suggests 1717-8. A full study of all the siblings' ages, recorded or estimated, would be needed to do a good estimate.
