Joachim Friedrich Dumstrey got land from federal govt lots 2 and 3 of sec 36 town 9 N of range 21 E about 86 acres on 3 March 1843 at Mequon, Ozaukee, Wisconsin. He lived in July 1860 at Mequon, Ozaukee, Wisconsin. He died on 12 March 1868 at Mequon, Ozaukee, Wisconsin, at age 76. He was buried in 1868 at Mequon, Ozaukee, Wisconsin. His gravestone reads, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. From henceforth they rest from their labors. Revelation 14,13."[1]

His estate was probated in 1868. Joachim evidently got money from William Dumstrey, his son, to send to destitute daughter in Polchow, Pommern - about $400 in 1855. He gave William land in return.[1]

    Joachim Friedrich Dumstrey was born on 30 October 1791 at Gristow, Cammin, Pommern, Prussia. He immigrated on 4 September 1839 aboard the Republic into NYC. He was naturalized on 23 October 1839 at Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

    Apparently, he wrote his will not long before his death, but it was destroyed in a fire and he did not have the health to write another.

    His heirs (see list in image 330 and signatories in image 354) were his widow Engel and his children William (petitioner), Wilhelmina Burow, and Caroline Manther (Manthey according to FamilySearch Family Tree; Kruger at the time she received her share of the estate).
