Jimmy Wayne Holland, age 56, of Morrilton, after a long battle with cancer passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, January 14, 2008. He was born October 12, 1951 in Morrilton, a son of the late Gene Holland. He worked at the Morrilton, Arkansas Wal-Mart as the Meat Market Manager until September of 2002 when his illness required his resignation; prior to that he managed several meat markets in central Arkansas. Jimmy was honored with a nomination of Carver Partner of the year nationwide by Piggly Wiggly in 1987. Jimmy attended Kenwood and Kilgore Freewill Baptist Churches. He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Dianne Holland of Morrilton; daughters, Veronica Bryant and husband David of Sheridan; Kristen Holland of the home; sons, Douglas Holland of Morrilton, and Shaun Holland and wife Becky of Greenwood; mother, Dorothy Holland of Morrilton; brothers, Donnie Holland, and Doyce Holland of Conway, and Mark Holland of Rogers; mother-in-law, Erma Lee Watters of Morrilton; grandchildren, Jessica, Brittany, and Leah Bryant of Sheridan; Paige, Cayden, and Ian Holland of Morrilton; Abigail, Shaun Jr., Austin, and Aaron Holland of Greenwood; He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Holland, sister, Brenda Spears, and father-in-law, Alfred Watters. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17 at Harris Chapel with Robert Standley, and Father Charles J. Thessing officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
