OBITUARY Mrs. Jessie A. Sordelet, 74, who resided on R.R. 13, Fort Wayne, near Wallen, died about 6:45 p.m. yesterday at the home of a sister, Mrs. Herman Gakle, Garrett, where she had gone Sunday. She had been ill approximately six years. Mrs. sordelet and her husband, edward A. Sordelet, were first matron and superintendent of the Allen County Farm, serving 17 years. She also was a former Allen County school teacher and a member of the Methodist Church at Wallen, the Order of Eastern Star at Churubusco for more than 50 years and the Allen County Home Demonstration Club of which she was a past president. Surviving in addition to the husband and sister are a foster son, Joseph C. Sarrazin, this city; three stepdaughters, Mrs. George Wyss of Detroit, Mrs. Lee Suelzer, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. J. Miller, Los Angeles; two other sisters, Mrs. Harry Simcox, Garrett, and Miss Martha McDuffee, Allen County, and three brothers, Joe McDuffee of LaOtto, John McDuffee, Belle Center, O., and Milton McDuffee, Leo. The body is at the Zimmerman Funeral Home, Garrett, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. At noon Friday it will be taken to the Eel River Church, near Churubusco for services at 2 o'clock, the Rev. J.R. Boggs of Wallen officiating. Burial will be in the Eel River Cemetery.
