  2. "The Willis Family of Sudbury, Mass.", NEHGR, Vol. 114, 37, places Jerusha's death between 18 May 1777 [the birth of her last child] and 13 Mar 1783 [guardian bond for "Children of the said Robert by his late wife Jerusha", Middlesex Probate 6669]. An adjustment is possible. The beginning date may be moved forward to 15 Nov 1781 when Jerusha Emes presents her account of administration on the estate of her first husband Silas Goodenow and it is allowed. There is some activity in the probate file of Silas Goodenow during April 1782 to appraise a barn belonging to the heirs of Silas Goodenow on land now in possession of Rob't Emes, and this may be due to Jerusha's death, but that is speculation as it does not say.
