Greenwich VRs "extremely faded" [not so faded that there is doubt about what it says] entry says "Jerusha Rogers Reputed Daughter of John Rogers by Dorcas Streeter was Born Oct'b 27th 1760". John Rogers, s/o William Rogers and Jerusha Burton, b. Preston, CT, 14 Jan 1739/40, d. Dec 1760. Dorcas Streeter, d/o John Streeter and Miriam Day, b. Attleboro, MA, 4 May 1737 m. bef 1763 [first child born] John Rugg. John Rugg, s/o Abraham Rugg and Abigail Warner, b. Harvard, MA, 6 Mar 1739/40. Jerusha undoubtedly brought up in Rugg household, but Rogers surname seen in both intentions and marriage record.
