- Lancaster Journal, Friday, July 9th, 1830:
“Died in this city, on Sunday evening last (July 4th), Mr. Jeremiah Mosher, in the 50th year of his age.”
Married at the First Reformed Church, Lancaster, to Susanna Wentz, 10 March, 1803. Died intestate (Book E, Vol. 1, p. 228). The Letter of Administration, dated July 13, 1830, was sent to his brother, Joseph Mosher, Esq., of the Borough of Columbia, who was also his father’s Executor four months previously. His inventory tells he lived at Washington Boro, PA where he was a blacksmith. His burial site has been conflated with that of his illustrious father. His mother was Susanna Thornburg, 1758-1838, whose burial site is also presently unknown. The 1830 census lists this family at Washington (Washington Boro): husband, wife and a male 22-29, likely a blacksmith apprentice. Susan (Wentz) Mosher has not been found.
Either there were no children, or none survived by the date March 1848, as told in Lancaster County Deed Book, G, Vol. 7, p. 176.
The only children of General Mosher who left descendants were Isabella and Joseph.
