From "A Short History of William Magee I and His Wife Mary James," edited and published in 1954 by Leon V. Bankston, are the following remarks concerning Jeremiah:

"Jeremiah Magee settled just north of Enon on the Enon-Franklinton highway. The home site is on the east side of the highway. The family cemetery is on the west side of the highway. According to church records Linea Davis was a charter member of the Enon Baptist Church."
