    Son of Abraham B Cranmer (1806 – 1872) and Eliza, as a child he lived in Ashtabula Co., Ohio. In the 1850 US Census he is in Salt Rock Twp, Marion, Ohio. He married Ann Robinson in Wabash County, Indiana on 16 Mar 1852. According to Civil War Pension records she died while he fought in the Civil War. His children with her were Abraham Bennett Cranmer (1854-1934), Andy Cranmer (1855-), Israel R Cranmer (1856-). 15 Aug 1860 he is listed in the US Census Age: 34 Miami, Cass, Indiana, United States. Before the war he was a farmer and a boatman. On 14 Jun 1861 he enlisted in Company I, 15th IN Inf Vol 15th Regiment, Indiana Infantry. His residence from Jun - Dec 1864 was New Waverly, Cass, Indiana. On 27 Jul 1865 he married Susan Lee in Huntington County, Indiana. She died abt 1866 in Indiana during childbirth. In Jun 1867 Jeremiah M. moved to Allegan, Michigan where he worked in a saw mill. He then married Eunice Mary (Giles) Lawper on 20 Nov 1867 in Cheshire, Allegan, Michigan. She died 21 Sept 1875 in Cheshire, Allegan, Michigan. A son is listed in the 1870 mortality schedule Cheshire, Allegan, Michigan. He was abt 1 month old and died Oct 1869, listed cause of death was - fall. Their only living child was Wealthy E. Cranmer 1871 – 1912. On 1 Aug 1876 he married Esther Ann (Harrington) Armstrong. She cared for him until his death on 29 Dec 1898 in Allegan County, Michigan. He is buried in Lindsley Cemetery, Cheshire Center, Allegan County, Michigan. His grave is marked by a metal stake.
